The 2009 Walk to Defeat ALS took place in Lincoln Park on Saturday, June 6. Despite the unseasonably cool weather, supporters for the cause were not deterred. The energy and spirit of the walkers, volunteers and group organizers is evident in the abundance of smiling faces.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to photograph this very special day. I was inspired by the strength and courage I witnessed, and moved by the coming together for the singular purpose of finding a cure.
